Medical Service Disclosures (Henotic Diagnostics)
The following comprehensive disclaimers define the scope and limitations of all diagnostic services facilitated by Henotic Diagnostics in Kharghar, Mumbai, and Navi Mumbai.
General Scope of Service and License
1. Licensed Facilitator Role: Henotic Diagnostics (in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai) operates as a **licensed diagnostic center** for in-house services (Blood tests, ECG, health checkups). For advanced imaging and cardiac interventional services (CT, MRI, PET, Angiography, Angioplasty), we act strictly as a **facilitator and booking platform**, partnering exclusively with **accredited and licensed diagnostic centers** and hospitals across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
2. Not a Medical Provider: We are **not** a direct medical provider. We do not treat, prescribe, or offer final medical diagnosis. The reports, images, and results generated are intended solely for the information of the referring physician and the patient.
3. Clinical Correlation Required: All results are subject to human factors, biological variability, and technical limitations. All findings **must be correlated with the patient’s clinical history and physical examination** by a qualified and licensed healthcare provider. The responsibility for patient management, treatment decisions, and counseling rests exclusively with the patient’s attending physician.
4. Truthful and Transparent Messaging: All information regarding our services, licenses, and qualifications is accurate and truthful. We strictly adhere to regulatory compliance and avoid sensational or unverifiable promises of cure or diagnosis.
Imaging Diagnostics (CT, MRI, PET, Sonography, DEXA)
Covers: Sonography, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI Scan, PET Scan, and DEXA Bone Scans.
1. Assessment, Not Guarantee: Imaging studies are assessment tools. They may not detect all underlying pathology, especially in early or microscopic stages, or when obscured by physical factors (patient body habitus, gas, tissue density).
2. Modality Risks and Contraindications:
- CT/PET: Involves exposure to radiation/radioactive tracers. Risks and benefits must be thoroughly discussed with the referring physician.
- MRI: Uses strong magnetic fields. Patients with internal metallic devices, pacemakers, or certain implants **must disclose these prior to the scan** due to contraindications.
- Contrast Agents: The use of contrast media carries a minor risk of adverse reaction. Patients must inform the clinic of any history of allergies or kidney disease.
3. Incidental Findings: Advanced imaging may identify incidental findings (unrelated to the primary examination reason). These require follow-up discussion with the patient’s treating physician.
Women’s Health, Fertility, and Prenatal Screening
Covers: Pregnancy Sonography, Obstetric Ultrasound, Anomaly Scan, NT Scan, Color Doppler, Mammography, Follicular Study, and Prenatal NIPT/NIPS Tests.
1. Obstetric Scans (Including Anomaly/NT/Doppler):
- Fetal Screening Limitations: Anomaly (TIFFA) and NT scans are designed to detect major structural anomalies. **They cannot detect all fetal conditions or chromosomal disorders.** Sensitivity is high but not absolute.
- Fetal Sex Determination: Fetal sex determination is strictly prohibited under the PCPNDT Act (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act) and will not be performed or communicated by any affiliated center.
2. Non-Invasive Prenatal Screening (NIPT/NIPS): This is a **screening test**, not a diagnostic test. A **”high-risk” or “positive” result must be confirmed** by an invasive diagnostic procedure (e.g., amniocentesis) before any definitive medical action. The test carries a small, inherent risk of false positive and false negative results.
3. Follicular Studies: Measurements indicate potential for ovulation but do not guarantee successful ovulation or conception. Results require clinical correlation with hormonal assays.
Cardiac and Interventional Diagnostics
Covers: ECG, 2D Echo, TMT, Holter Monitoring, Angiography, and Angioplasty (facilitated).
1. Non-Invasive Cardiac Studies (ECG, Holter, 2D Echo, TMT):
- A normal result from these studies does not exclude structural heart disease or future cardiac events. Holter monitoring may fail to capture infrequent arrhythmias.
- Stress Testing (TMT) intentionally stresses the heart and **carries inherent, though low, risks** of cardiac events. The procedure is performed under strict medical supervision at the partner facility.
2. Advanced Interventional Services (Angiography / Angioplasty) Disclaimer:
Angiography (Diagnostic) and Angioplasty (Therapeutic/Interventional) are highly specialized, invasive procedures. Henotic Diagnostics **only facilitates the booking** of these services at specialized, licensed partner hospitals. These are **not** performed at our Kharghar center.
- Specialist Responsibility: The decision, execution, clinical supervision, management of complications, and post-procedure care for these interventional services are the **sole responsibility of the attending Licensed Cardiologist and the partner hospital**.
- Informed Consent: Comprehensive informed consent detailing all risks, benefits, and alternatives must be obtained directly from the patient by the performing specialist prior to the procedure.
Laboratory Services and Full-Body Health Check-ups
Covers: Blood Tests, General Pathology, and Comprehensive Health Check-up Packages.
1. Pre-test Compliance: Patient compliance with mandatory pre-test instructions (e.g., fasting for lipid panels, timing for hormone tests) is critical. We are not responsible for report errors arising from a patient’s failure to follow preparatory guidelines.
2. Health Check-up Limitations: A **Full-Body Health Check-up** is a preventative **screening** measure, not a guarantee of perfect health or freedom from all diseases. Some conditions may not be detectable by the panel of tests included, especially early-stage cancers or rare diseases.
3. Reference Ranges: Laboratory results are compared to established reference intervals which can vary between partner labs. Values slightly outside the range may not be clinically relevant and always require physician interpretation.
